Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) is a private university in Pakistan. The main campus is in Karachi; the other campus is in Islamabad. MAJU was established in 1998 after the grant of a charter by the Government of Sindh. MAJU, unlike some other institutions, which have a degree awarding status only, has a status of a comprehensive university. The university is affiliated with the Punjab Group of Colleges. Dr. Abdul Wahab, former vice chancellor of the University of Karachi, is the current president of the university. University is rated in the X category by the Higher Education Commission.

Academics

Mohammad Ali Jinnah University has departments of Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Biosciences in the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences; in the Faculty of Business Administration and Social Sciences, there are departments of Business Administration, Economics and Social Sciences.

In addition to pure academic programs, MAJU runs training programs, seminars and workshops. The university has started doctoral programs in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, and Management Sciences.
